PROVISIONAL CERTIFICATE IN A TEACHING FIELD

Course Information

The ONLINE Provisional Certificate in a Teaching Field at Faulkner University is for those who have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher and wish to be certified to teach in Alabama.

Faulkner’s potential PCTF areas are as follows: English/language arts and social science.

A completed PCTF leads to Class B teacher certification in the chosen teaching field.

Admission Requirements

• Online application
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2.5 GPA) or graduate’s degree (minimum 3.0 GPA) from a regionally accredited college/university

Please note that you must be hired by a school system to pursue the PCTF

Options

Candidates are admitted as non-degree seeking students. Students have the option to participate in the SED 6399 course to help with their preparation for edTPA.
