After graduating from Faulkner University in 2000, Jason Roberson has been using his degree to teach and coach students at Prattville Christian Academy (PCA).

Returning to Faulkner’s campus for the 2024 Marketplace Faith Friday Forums, Roberson was honored as the Distinguished Alumnus for the department of kinesiology and exercise science.

As a student attending Faulkner, Roberson was influenced by his professors and the leaders of the university at the time, he said.

“To this day I am grateful for the leadership and example set by my professors and coaches that I had at Faulkner University.  Their passion, work ethic, love, encouragement, and example that they led with has definitely influenced me to hopefully lead my students and players in the same way,” Roberson said.

Roberson is currently the senior Bible teacher and online Bible teacher at PCA and also coaches the Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams and is the Soccer Administrator. He also has experience teaching in the Physical Education and Athletic classes at PCA as well.

He is a native of Montgomery and attended Trinity Presbyterian High School before attending Faulkner in 1996-2000. At Faulkner he played on the men’s basketball team. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.

“My experience at Faulkner University was a positive experience in every way possible.  My professors, coaches, teammates, and classmates made for an amazing Christian Environment where I was constantly encouraged,” he said.

Roberson has been the head Men’s Basketball Coach at PCA since 2001 with the exception of one year where he coached in Georgia at Stockbridge High School. He has accumulated a 723-354 overall record with a 404-246 record in the varsity men’s and a 319-108 record in varsity girls. He led the varsity girls to three State Championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023 and let the varsity boys to a State Championship in 2011.

Roberson is married to Lori and they have three children: Malia (22), Carson (20), and Brady (18).
