Kearley Graduate School of Theology

GRADUATE BIBLICAL EDUCATION IN A FAMILY ATMOSPHERE WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR MINISTRY

Faulkner University’s Kearley Graduate School of Theology provides students the opportunity to engage in theological education in a family environment through online learning.  Students are able to earn a fully online degree from an accredited institution to better prepare them to serve God, the church, and their communities. 

The faculty and staff of the Kearley Graduate School of Theology seek to emulate Christ in attitude and behavior, thereby equipping their students to become effective Christian communicators and servants in both the church and the world.  Students who choose to enter the Kearley Graduate School of Theology will find a spiritually oriented faculty who seek excellence in both scholarship and Christian service

KGST Degree Plans

The Kearley Graduate School of Theology offers four degrees to help students increase their knowledge and prepare them for greater service in God’s kingdom.

Master of Arts in Biblical Studies

 The Master of Arts in Biblical Studies degree prepares students to help others grow through interpreting the Word of God. This degree is available completely online. The online approach allows the continuation of working and remaining engaged with family and congregation while studying.

Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and Family Ministry

The M.A. in Christian Counseling and Family Ministry offers a flexible, spiritually grounded education designed for real-world ministry. This comprehensive online program takes 37 hours to complete and is taught via flexible eight-week courses.

Ph.D. in Biblical Studies

The PhD in Biblical Studies prepares morally grounded and academic scholars for careers. The careers include teaching, research, ministry through advanced training in biblical languages, interpretation, and scholarly inquiry. Graduates develop the ability to conduct original research, contextualize and interpret biblical texts, and apply their scholarship to both academic and church settings.

ACCREDITATION

Theological Accreditation

The Kearley Graduate School of Theology is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools. The following degree programs are approved by the Commission on Accrediting: Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies, Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, Master of Theology, and Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and Family Ministry. In February 2022, the ATS Board of Commissioners approved an on-going exemption for the Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies to be completed in a synchronous distance education format.
