He received his bachelor’s degree in music education and master’s degree in education from Troy University, and completed his Ph.D. degree in music education, with a minor field specialization in child development, from Indiana University in 2017. With experience teaching at the elementary, secondary and collegiate levels, Williams is a specialist in elementary general music education. He is also actively involved in the field of music education, where he appears as host of “Mr. Art’s Music Room,” the DVD component of Warner Brothers’ and Alfred Publications’ nationally released Expressions Music Curriculum.
An accomplished pianist, Williams’ research interests include the potential for music education through the media.
