Taurus Myhand is an Assistant Professor of Law at Faulkner. Prior to joining the
Faulkner Law faculty, he was a Corporate Litigation Associate at Richards, Layton, & Finger,
P.A., the largest law firm in the State of Delaware representing some of the country’s largest
publicly traded companies in high-stakes and complex corporate disputes.
Professor Myhand’s research interests include issues related to the Federal Rules of
Evidence, the Fourth Amendment search and seizure doctrine, and issues related to business and
commercial law. His articles have appeared in several journals, including Widener Law Review,
University of Detroit-Mercy Law Review, Texas Journal on Civil Rights & Civil Liberties,
Rutgers Race & the Law Review, and the Journal of the Legal Profession.
Professor Myhand teaches Evidence, Trial Advocacy for Competition, Products Liability,
Business Associations, and Education Law. He also serves as a coach on Faulkner Law’s
nationally recognized trial advocacy team.
Professor Myhand received his B.S. from Excelsior College, his M.S.C.J. from Troy
University, and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law where he was the Editor-
in-Chief of the Journal of the Legal Profession. During law school, he also served as the
National Vice-Chairman of the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division. His lives in
the Birmingham area with his wife, Nastassia, who serves as an Assistant District Attorney for
Tuscaloosa County, and their children Dani, Blair, Camille, and Chloe.
