The Faulkner University program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA), so graduates will receive an ABA certificate in addition to their degree. Admission Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate with a regular or advanced diploma or have a GED certificate
  • If out of high school for less than five years, ACT (minimum 18 composite) or SAT (minimum 970) scores are required. ACT or SAT scores are not required for anyone having graduated high school more than five years ago.
  • ACT or SAT scores are not required for transfer applicants with a minimum of 24 transferable hours from a regionally accredited college or university.

Admissions Requirements and Credit Transfer Guidelines

Students who plan to transfer existing credits should be aware that the ABA-approved program is a feature of Faulkner University’s Montgomery campus, made available in Mobile through synchronous technology. Because of this:

  • At least 9 hours of Legal Specialty courses must be taken in a traditional or synchronous classroom setting
  • Transfer students must have a minimum residency of 40 percent at the Montgomery campus

In addition, the Legal Studies degree program accepts no more than 50 percent of legal specialty courses in transfer. Please review our student handbook for further information on transfer credit requirements.
