Listed below are the work study positions and a brief description of some jobs available at Faulkner University.
Admissions – filing, mail outs, stock shelves and supply room, input information
Alabama Partnership for Children (off campus) -General office duties, mail outs, research and planning for projects
Alumni Relations – office duties as well as assistance with preparation and promotion of events
Athletics – errands, office work, help with gate at football, basketball games, help with hospitality room
Athletic Media – update athletic websites with rosters, photos and information, fold game day programs, assist with research and set up of “Faulkner This Week” and photo shoots
Athletic Radio – assist in the broadcast of live athletic events, filming and other duties, office work
Athletic Training – daily cleaning, setup for practices/games, general office duties
Band – serve as Band librarian; help with storage, maintenance and inventory of instruments
Baseball – keep stats, prepare the field, laundry, and collect money at gate for games, run scoreboard, video practices and games
Computer lab attendant – Monitor computer lab, keep stocked and picked up, open late hours and weekends
Computer trainee – Check labs, install programs, clone machines, replace parts, carry items and help technicians
Education Lab – keep lab open after hours, assist students and faculty with copying, laminating and filing periodicals
Football – laundry, field maintenance, office duties and equipment room
Library – check out items, collect fines, keeps statistics, shelve books, stacks maintenance etc.
Maintenance – weeding, cutting grass, edging, planting, blowing walkways, etc.
Multiplex – oversee the operation of weight room, game room, tv room and fireplace room. Wash towels, maintain and keep track of equipment.
Music – assist Dr. Clements with attendance, office help and date entry
Office assistant – various offices on campus need help with office duties, filing, running errands on campus, making copies
RA’s – selected by the Resident Housing Manager – See dorm supervisor for more information
Science Lab – assist with setting up and taking down labs/experiments; cleaning labs, keeping greenhouse, inventory of all labs, stockrooms, and feeding animals.
Service – answering phones, computer skills, signing people up for areas of community service
Student Activities – help in the planning, promotion, coordination, and execution of various campus events with students and social clubs.
Tutoring (on campus) – working in the lab on campus to provide tutoring to Faulkner students.
Tutoring (off campus) –
Alabama Christian Academy (ACA) – tutoring elementary and high school students at ACA
Dozier – tutoring elementary student at Dozier Elementary
MorningView – tutoring elementary students at MorningView Elementary
Yearbook – layout photos and text as assigned by editor, make contacts for photo shoots, take photos and edit them
