      Program Information

Psychology is the branch of science that deals with the mind and emotions. In forensic psychology, this knowledge is put to use in the criminal justice field. These professionals work in courtrooms, law enforcement agencies, correctional facilities, and government sectors. They specialize in evaluating the mental conditions of criminals and witnesses, using this evidence to investigate various matters and ensure the success of a legal trial. At Faulkner University, we know a successful career requires a broad educational basis. This is why our Bachelor of Science in Forensic Psychology degree plan requires students to complete core coursework in a range of subjects. Not only does this expand their horizons, but it also introduces ethical and cultural concepts that will be useful in their future career. In addition to core requirements, our forensic psychology degree also includes a hand-chosen selection of psychology and criminal justice courses. These requirements teach students the skills they will need for a successful career within the field of forensic psychology, while also allowing enough freedom for students to choose electives and specialize their education toward what interests them the most.

The program evaluates PTCAS verified applications from June 15th until May 1st. This means that we conduct interviews both in the fall and spring semesters. Rather than admitting applicants all at once, we make admission decisions throughout the year.
