Stephen Foster joined the faculty of Faulkner University in the fall of 2014 as director of bands and assistant professor of music. He received his bachelor of music education degree from Middle Tennessee State University in both instrumental and school music. He also holds his master of music degree from Belmont University, along with an Ed. S. degree in Supervision and Instruction from Tennessee Technological University and an Ed. S. and Ed. D. from Union University. He has been teaching since 1984, with experience in public and private schools in Tennessee and Alabama. He has experience teaching kindergarten through college level students in general, vocal, and instrumental music education. Stephen is an active member of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), Alabama Bandmasters Association, and Alabama Music Educators Association. His major instrument is the trumpet.
