Cindy Spangler joined the Faulkner University faculty full time in 1995, previously having served as assistant registrar and data records manager since 1989. She completed her bachelor’s degree from Faulkner in 1986 and holds a master’s degree from Auburn University in Montgomery. She has completed her coursework for her Ph.D. from Auburn University.
Spangler’s courses include English Composition, American Literature, World Literature, Literary Criticism and Young Adult Literature. Spangler’s academic interests lie in young adult literature, Southern literature and contemporary fiction.
Spangler says it is great to be able to work in the Christian environment supplied by Faulkner University. “Having the freedom to read and teach literature with a biblically-based world view is one reason I like teaching at Faulkner. Plus, it’s family. I have gained many great friendships from my association with Faulkner throughout the years.”
