Student-led Gospel Meeting nears
Faulkner students will host a gospel meeting April 12-15. The meeting will feature eight student speakers from the V.P. Black College of Biblical Studies. The speakers will present a series of lessons on The Great I Am, focusing on the seven "I am" statements found in the Gospel of John.
The gospel meeting strives to reveal Christ to people as the powerful Lord and Savior he claimed to be. "I want people to gain a stronger sense of Christ's identity, to get to know Him better so their relationship with Him can deepen," says Jenna Boro, a sophomore from Fayetteville, Ga., who is on the planning committee.
The gospel meeting will be held in the University Church of Christ Auditorium and all are welcome to attend. Two free publications will be available to all guests as well, "Men of the Message" and "Women of the Word." Brothers and sisters in Christ of Faulkner's student body have diligently worked to write and produce these booklets, supplementing the lessons learned at the gospel meeting.
