Dr. Cecil May Receives Award for Outstanding Community Service

news story imageDr. Cecil May, Jr., and his wife, Winnie, received an award from Amridge University on Sept. 19 at the Capital Prayer Breakfast. The Mays were honored for their outstanding Christian service to the community, especially in regard to the University Church of Christ. May is the dean of the V.P. Black College of Biblical Studies at Faulkner University.

Amridge University hosts the bimonthly prayer breakfast at the Capital City Club atop the Regions Tower in Montgomery, Ala. Along with breakfast, the attendees, all who are active in serving the Lord in their communities, have a devotional period and four prayer sessions: one each for civic leaders, church leaders, families and the group's prayer requests.
