How to Register for CLEP

CLEP examinations are administered in Brooks Hall, Room 405. Examinees must submit their registration forms at least one week prior to the exam date. Registrations will be accepted in the order they are received and, depending on space limitations, examinees may be required to reschedule for a later time or date. For this reason, registration forms, along with the proper fees, should be submitted as soon as possible. Registration forms may be submitted by mail or delivered in person to Room 405 in Brooks Hall.

CLEP Fees

There are two separate fees associated with CLEP exams: a $20 registration fee and an $80 examination fee. The $20 registration fee can be paid by cash, check, or money order made payable to Faulkner University and must accompany the registration form. The $80 examination fee must be paid by credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa) at the time of the exam. DANTES-funded military personnel do not have to pay the $80 examination fee but are still required to pay the $20 registration fee.

Identification Requirements

Two valid forms of identification (ID) must be presented at the time of the exam. The primary ID must be a current government-issued photo ID with a signature that matches the name used to register for the exam. Acceptable forms of ID include driver's license, passport, state ID card, tribal ID card, naturalization card, and certificate of citizenship. All DANTES-funded military personnel must present a current military ID. The secondary ID must have either a photo or a signature (e.g., current employee ID, current student ID, social security card, or any unused primary ID).

Retesting Policy

CLEP requires a waiting period of six months before repeating an exam of the same title.
