Campus Life FAQ

Q: What's there to do on campus?
A: Lots! There are always many student activities going on.... intramural and intercollegiate sports, devotionals, hanging out with friends in the Student Multiplex... Our full time student activities director, John Gordon, keeps something going all the time. Check out the Student Life section of our website, and come back often for updates.

Q: How many students are there on campus?
A: There are about 830 undergraduate students on the Montgomery campus during the day. We have about another 300 in the Jones school of Law here on our campus, as well as about 500 adult students who come to campus from time to time as a part of their education.

Q: What is daily chapel all about?
A: We have chapel every day at 10:00 AM. Students, faculty and staff gather together for about 20 minutes each day for a period of singing and devotional. This is a very special time for everyone, and most Faulkner alumni remember chapel as one of the highlights of their education here.

Q: Are there part time jobs available on or off campus?
A: Definitely. We even have a job placement officer who works to identify off campus employment opportunities for our students. On campus employment is done through the federal work study program. For these jobs, you've got to apply for federal aid and be awarded. Your admissions counselor or the financial aid personnel can help you with this.

Q: What are the dorms like?
A: All our dorms feature private bathrooms, cable and phone hookups, study areas and built in closets. You'll usually have a roommate.
