Message from the Dean
Choosing a law school is always a difficult task. One must be concerned about the quality of legal education but also the atmosphere in which the student will study for three or four years. One must look ahead to the bar examination and to career choices beyond graduation. Finally, the cost of legal education makes the choice of the right school particularly important.
We believe that our school has a special mission. We want to provide a superior legal education in a setting which demands the highest professional standards and which nurtures, encourages and supports the personal growth of a student. We do that because we believe that our Christian mission demands that we do no less. You will find classroom teachers who want to raise your analytical and skill levels to their full potential, who want to instill in you the highest ethical standards and a sense that we are a serving profession, and who want to support you through the stress of law school. We have done that for over seventy-five years and we will continue to do that with your class.
We invite you to be part of the long tradition of our alumni who have served this state and the nation in prominent leadership roles and who have counseled and represented the people of this state in achieving their goals. We hope to see you here.
Charles I. Nelson
Dean and Professor of Law
